The money questions
How much will my plumbing job cost?
Every job gets a fixed written price before any work begins, and the price we quote is the price you pay, with no hourly meter running and no overtime rates at night or on weekends.
Do you charge a call out fee?
No. Getting a licensed plumber to your door costs nothing, and you only ever pay for work you have approved in writing.
What payment options do you accept?
Card, cash and payment plans are all accepted, and the full amount is agreed in writing before a tool comes off the van.

How quickly can you get to an emergency?
A real person answers the phone day and night, and because our vans work these streets constantly, the plumber heading to you has usually just finished a job nearby.
What happens when I call after hours?
The same person who answers at 2pm answers at 2am, and they can talk you through what to switch off while the van makes its way over.
Are your plumbers licensed?
Every plumber on the team holds full licensing and insurance under licence #275278C, and compliance certificates come with the invoice without you needing to ask.

Drains, roots and stormwater
Why do drains here keep blocking with tree roots?
The heavy eucalypt and liquidambar canopy on large bush blocks sends roots into the joints of older drainage lines, so we camera the run, clear the roots properly and show you the footage. There is more detail on how we handle that at our blocked drains page.
Can anything be done about stormwater in heavy rain?
Yes. Steep gully sections concentrate runoff and leaf litter, so we repipe downpipes into proper stormwater lines and clear choked runs before the next downpour finds the weakness.
My drain clears and then blocks again. Why?
A returning blockage usually means roots or a shifted joint rather than a one-off choke. A CCTV inspection finds the real cause the first time, instead of clearing the same section every few months and hoping.

Hot water and gas
My hot water system is original to the house. Should I replace it?
Most homes here date from the late 1970s onward, so many tanks are decades past typical replacement age, and we will tell you honestly whether a repair will hold or a replacement makes more sense. If you are weighing it up, our hot water replacement page walks through the signals we look for.
Are older gas fittings a problem?
They can be. Brick-veneer homes from the 1970s to 1990s often retain original gas fittings that predate current standards, and any gas work is the moment to bring them up to date. If you ever smell gas, treat it as urgent and call straight away.
